Beer!

If you’ve been anywhere near a Lower Mainland liquor store or cold beer & wine store in the last year, an attractive young lady has undoubtedly caught your eye – not a cashier but rather a saucy redhead on a bicycle, batting her eyelashes up at you from the beer shelf. Her name might be elusive but her brand is instantly recognizable: Red Racer

Red Racer has in recent years, become one of the pre-imminent brands in the BC microbrew universe, and for good reason. Created by Surrey’s Central City Brewers & Distillers, this range of gorgeous libations is winning converts left, right and centre. Its core product line features sensational ales, pilsners, stouts, IPAs, ISAs and ESBs, but there’s more… Seasonal favourites include Pumpkin Ale, Belgian Style Wheat Ale, Gingerbread Stout, Barley Wine and Porter (thirsty yet?) We have a solution:

On January 24th from 11am to 6pm, Central City Brewers & Distillers is hosting Central City Winter Cask Festival – an event featuring a whole slew of local and regional breweries including Bomber Brewing, Bridge Brewing Company, Cannery Brewing Company, Dead Frog Brewery, Deep Cove Brewers & Distillers, Dogwood Organic Brewery, The Howe Sound Inn & Brewing Company, Mission Springs Brewing Company, Moody Ales, Nelson Brewing Company, Old Yale Brewing, Persephone Brewing, Steel & Oak Brewing Co., Vancouver Island Brewery, Whistler Brewing Company, and of course, Central City.

On top of this, you can expect fabulous food, amazing music and a few surprises, to boot. Not ready to call it a day? Enter to win a draw for you and three friends to be special guests at the Brewmaster’s Dinner after the festival! The draw will run throughout the day with the winner being announced at 5pm.
