Cloverfest

Surrey’s Mini Oktoberfest is on Tap in Cloverdale

Autumn has officially descended upon the Pacific Northwest, and while some are celebrating with boots and pumpkin-spice-lattes, over here in Surrey, we’re celebrating like the season’s biggest festival: Oktoberfest. While this year’s Oktoberfest festivities are well underway in their native city of Munich, you certainly haven’t missed your chance to celebrate the best of the brews close to home. Surrey’s Cloverfest, our very own craft beer and wine festival, is dedicated to celebrating local and regional beer.

Surrey breweries Central City Brewers and Distillers, Big Ridge Brewing, White Rock Brewing, and the city’s only winery Vinoscenti Vineyards will be offering taste-tests of their perfected brews and blends at Cloverfest. This is the perfect time to try-before-you-buy some truly unique and quirky locally made adult beverages, as booth after booth exchange tokens for a frosty glass of Surrey’s finest. You’ll also be able to try a taste of local brews from Persephone Brewing Co, Dead Frog Brewery, White Rock Beach Brewing, Two Wolves Brewing, among many more breweries that have been on your ‘to-try’ list for months.

Of course we’d never recommend sipping on brews and vino on an empty stomach! Local restaurant and pub giant Joseph Richards Group will be on-site offering delicious nibbles that perfectly compliment an ice cold craft beer. Jive along to live music, partake in 50/50 draws, and door prizes, among other festive activities.

This event may be all about hops, barley and grapes, but it’s also about supporting the community. The event acts as a fundraiser for the Cloverdale District Chamber of Commerce and the Cloverdale Rotary, so not only are you discovering beers brewed in your backyard, you’re helping quaint Cloverdale continue to flourish.
