Central City Brewers & Distillers
11411 Bridgeview Drive
Summer Crush Hopped Lager
(5.0% ABV | 25 IBU)
Central City Brewery’s Summer Crush Hopped Lager is an easy-drinking, refreshing lager with a subtle tropical vibe courtesy of New Zealand Perle and Lemondrop hops. Perfect for a hot day on the patio, this is the beer you want for summer barbecues.
One Speed
(5.0% ABV | 10 IBU)
The Red Racer ‘Spirited Series’ gives a beer take on the classic margarita. Inspired by the beaches of Mexico and made with real tequila, this Gose is lightly tart with a subtle saltiness that evokes the traditional beachside cocktail.
Russell Brewing Company
13018 80 Avenue
Pina Colada Milkshake IPA
(5.5% ABV | 10 IBU)
We would like to think Rupert Holmes would be drinking this Milkshake IPA while getting caught in the rain and talking trash about yoga. A Milkshake IPA with lactose, fermented on liquid coconut, pineapple purée, and dry-hopped with Sabro.
Blueberry Cherry Lime Berliner
(3.8% ABV | 8 IBU)
Basically, summer in a can, Russell Brewing’s Blueberry Cherry Lime Berliner will bring back memories of running for the ice cream truck for rocket pops, the iconic red, white and blue popsicle. Thankfully our palates have matured since then, and this sour Berliner Weisse-style beer fermented with blueberry, cherry, and lime purée is the perfect balance of taste and nostalgia.
And these two brews are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to summer beers from Russel. Be sure to check out their full lineup including their Lemon Raz Radler and Peach and Apricot Hefeweizen.
Big Ridge Brewing
5580 152 Street
Brewery Suntan ISA
(4.9% ABV | 34 IBU)
This highly drinkable session ale is golden in colour with caramel notes that leave a little bit of sweetness pairing nicely with the aromatic Australian hops. It’s everything you want in an IPA without the higher alcohol content, so go ahead and have another!
O.B.B Wheat Ale
(4.5% ABV | 9 IBU)
Unfiltered and cloudy like a true Hefeweizen, this easy-going beer showcases a mix of exclusively Canadian malt and wheat. With notes of banana and clove, it’s easy-drinking, refreshing and yes … crushable!
Big Ridge only brews their beer for consumption on their premises, with a few “growler-available” options. So if you like it … you’ll have to go back!
