Outdoor Summer Performances in Surrey

There’s something special about enjoying live music and theatre outside with the sounds of nature adding to the soundtrack!  This summer, Surrey Civic Theatres presents Summer POP! (Performances in Outdoor Parks) with a variety of performances and activities for people to enjoy in the great outdoors.  Take in theatrical productions set against the picturesque background of the Glade Woodland Gardens, summer strolls through Darts Hill Garden Park stopping to listen to musical performances and a theatrical treasure hunt that leads you, via QR codes, to a series of fun self-directed activities.

POP! Glades Woodland Garden Stage Series

Head to one of Surrey’s most picturesque parks for the Glade Woodland Gardens Stage Series. Over the summer there will be a variety of performances to enjoy: everything from foot-stomping Celtic music, to theatre productions for grown-ups and children!
There will be limited tickets available for each event (health orders permitting) and seating will be BYOCB (bring your own blanket or chair). Limited tickets. Tickets are on sale now.

Nothing says summer more than a leisurely stroll through the park! Add performances from artists in various locations along your stroll? Summer perfection!

POP! Summer Stroll at Darts Hill Garden Park

Featuring performance The Greatest Escape Artist, Devon More’s One-Woman Symphonies, Vostok, Swipe Stage Right by Alyssa Hirose (an Or Theatre Festival production), and Dangle-o-rama by Firebelly.

The Neverland Night Circus

August 20 at 6:00pm | August 21, 1:00pm and 6pm|  August 22, 1:00pm | Bear Creek Gardens

For each of the performance times for this show, there will be seven separate audience groups. These groups of up to 12 people will be in staggered increments of 15 minutes. For example, for the 6:00pm show the start times will be: 6:00pm, 6:15pm, 6:30pm, 6:45pm, 7:00pm, 7:15pm and .7:30pm. The performance is 65 minutes long. A Geekenders Production.

Moving, Resting, Nesting – A Story-Walk

August 20, 21 & 22 | 10:00 am & 3:30pm| Bear Creek Park

An outdoor story experience designed for children ages 2 to 7.


POP! Self-Directed Activities – Various Parks

Take part in a theatrical treasure hunt of sorts. Using QR codes in public parks, visitors are welcome to experience the activities at their own pace.  There are three experiences to enjoy.

The Rainbow Girl | Hawthorne Rotary Park

July 12 – September 11

An interactive visual story for young children exploring colours, nature, and the art of rangoli. POP! Self-directed Activities use QR codes in public parks and participants experience the activity at their own pace.

What Did I Love? | Green Timbers Park

July 13 – September 12

A contemplative audio walk

The Adventures of Himmat Kaur and Fateh Singh | Bear Creek Park

July 26 – September 30

An illustrated children’s story. Follow along in English or Punjabi.
