There’s nothing like trick-or-treating until you can’t feel your fingers, counting and sorting your bounty from the evening, and carving the craziest, spookiest and biggest pumpkin you can carry. And now there’s a new tradition to be added: heading to the haunted houses!
Potters House of Horrors is known for being the scariest haunted attraction in the Metro Vancouver area. But what if you’ve got a mini-monster-lover who’s seriously into the Halloween spirit, and you want to keep their spunk for the spooky (but safe) stuff alive? Never fear, in addition to Potters collection of truly haunted attractions is Li’l Haunters; a great way to introduce the munchkins to the fun and excitement of haunted houses without the nightmares that follow.
Li’l Haunters is comprised of a pair of mini haunted houses that are not too scary, not overly dark, without loud noises, actors, or animatronics. What they DO have is a ton of goofy, spooky, and quirky displays that can be seen up close and personal. Kids (and parents, too) can tour the Mystic Village and Spooky Castle, filled with all the classic spooky things you’d expect; witches, monsters, and snakes, oh my! What’s really impressive about Li’l Haunters is the amount of detail that’s put into the attraction. Kids are can go through the haunted houses as many times as they like for twenty minutes, finding new and eerie decorations each time they walkthrough.
Li’l Haunters is open select dates from 4:00 to 6:30pm or 12:00 to 6:30pm weekends. Check their website for exact opening days. For the brave, Potters House of Horrors hosts Family Hour from 4:00 to 6:30pm (and 12:00 to 6:30pm on weekends). For the bravest, the real deal Potters House of Horrors Haunted Houses are open 7:00 to 10:00pm daily.
