Coast to Coast

You can’t take a trip to Surrey and not spend some time at the beach. Or two. And who can stay away from the fresh seafood just steps away from some gorgeous swimming spots? Take a day to enjoy the sun, the sand, and some sweet treats all available in South Surrey.

Stop on by Crescent Coffee House (100 12219 Beecher Street) for quick snack and coffee before starting on your journey. This quaint little spot is warm and friendly, and it’ll be hard to leave once you sit down.

A little bit of exercise and a whole lot of scenic, 1001 Steps (15a Avenue) is a great spot to go for a stroll and enjoy the view. This little spot will take you right to the sand of Crescent beach, so remember to bring your sunscreen.

Hooked Fish Bar (12157 Beecher Street) has everything to satisfy your seafood cravings. Located right at Crescent Beach, sit down for a beer and some fish n’ chips and enjoy the sun (or the shade) on the patio.

Head on over to Blackie Spit (3136 McBride Avenue) to enjoy some great green spaces, a pier, and some awesome walking trails. You might even get lucky and see some harbour seals resting on the sandbar. It also has an off-leash dog park that is perfect for your pooch!

Seahorse Grill (12147 Sullivan Street) shares owners with Hooked Fish Bar, so you can be sure you’re about to have some great food and a fantastic dining experience. Just a small walk away from the water, this restaurant offers international flavours along with fresh catches, all in a casual atmosphere.

Cotto al Mare  (2728 O’Hara Lane) is a restaurant steeped in the authentic Neapolitan tradition. They use a wood fire brick oven and locally-sourced seasonal ingredients! The restaurant overlooks Crescent Beach and is sure to be a beautiful dining experience. Enjoy some delicious pizza and rich pasta!
