The musical Ingenue celebrates the life of Deanna Durbin, “Winnipeg’s Sweetheart” and her friendship with Judy Garland. Durbin was a favourite of Franklin Roosevelt, Anne Frank, and Winston Churchill. Ingenue tells the story of Durbin’s life through the lens of a reporter visiting her home in Paris after her retirement and unravels the true forgotten tale of a lifelong friendship—and rivalry—of two Old Hollywood stars.
