Pull out your Santa hat and put ‘Silent Night’ on repeat, we’re getting ready to kick off the season with Surrey’s annual Tree Lighting Festival … virtually! Hosted by everyone’s favourite duo, Santa and Mrs. Claus, this year’s free family-friendly livestreamed event will be filled with talented local performers, choirs and dance groups. Join the fun from home with holiday baking demonstrations, comedy sketches, kids crafts, stories and more. And instead of the live Holiday Market, help support the community and check out this year’s Virtual Holiday Market which highlights lots of Surrey’s amazing small businesses and artisans.
Presented by Coast Capital Savings, the 10th annual Surrey Tree Lighting Festival comes to you virtually on Saturday, November 21 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Facebook and YouTube Live. Watch from home as Mayor McCallum and Council flip the switch to light Surrey’s 60-ft Christmas tree. And, following the live stream, stay tuned for a series of holiday contests held on the Surrey Tree Lighting Facebook page, including the annual 12 Days of Giveaways contest leading up to Christmas Day.
