Winter Theatre in Surrey

The Theatre is calling!

You may know Surrey as a multicultural oasis, with a diverse culinary scene, plentiful parks, and a thriving arts community. That’s right. Surrey’s got a serious arts scene that includes incredible theatre productions. Kick off 2018 by experiencing a production at one of Surrey’s many venues, as there’s a little something for everyone on this season.

Misery
Main Stage at Surrey Arts Centre
January 10th – January 20th

Based on the novel by Stephen King, Misery follows an author named Paul Sheldon as he quickly realizes a woman nursing him back to health following a terrible car crash is a crazed fan of his novels, holding him captive until he writes the conclusion she’s been looking for. Shows will take place January 10th to 20th at the Surrey Arts Centre. The best part? Attend the production on January 13th, and you can get FREE babysitting at the venue for 6 to 11 year-olds from 3:30pm to 6:30pm, now that’s what we call #KidApprovedBC!

The Father
Centre Stage at Surrey City Hall
Februrary 7th

With no set and no costumes, the production of The Father takes you on a psychological thriller as you follow the journey of André as he struggles to find control of himself and find out who he is. Was he a tap dance or an engineer? All he knows is he’s still in his Pyjamas.

Sleeping Beauty Dreams

The theatre is for all ages! This contemporary take on a fairytale classic called Sleeping Beauty Dreams is perfect for kids ages 5 and over. You’ll laugh and be amazed by the whimsical puppetry as the gang works to awaken the sleeping princess as never before.
